We are currently working with an independent practice in Dorset who are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their expanding nursing team in a fully supportive, modern, professional environment, striving for the highest standards in first opinion practice.
The Practice:
The practice is a modern country veterinary clinic providing care for all animal species, and have been supplying veterinary services for over 80 years. They have three separate dedicated veterinary teams providing experienced care for small animals, equines and farm animals. The small animal team has eight vets with varied interests who work together to provide first-rate care to companion animals. The practice provides their own emergency vet care service and the small animal hospital and surgery is always staffed 24 hours a day to provide optimal care for inpatients.
The Role:
The role is a permanent full-time position, to join a team of 10 nurses to assist the vets on the small animal team. As this is a mixed practice there may be opportunities to assist in the farm and equine departments if required. Shifts take place between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm. There is an equally shared out of hours rota of 1:9 ensuring accessible, high standard of care for patients whilst giving you the opportunity to use your skills and initiative in emergency cases.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be outgoing and friendly, with the ability to fit into the existing team. The practice is offering an excellent salary package depending on experience, and they are willing to help with relocation costs if necessary. A generous CPD allowance is provided and nurses are encouraged to further their training and skills in specific areas of interest. They are also a training practice so opportunities also exist to teach nurses by becoming a clinical coach.
