We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, independent practice situated in Tunbridge Wells, Kent on a permanent Basis
The Practice:
Our client is an independent 100% small animal practice who have been established since the 1980’s. The practice occasionally takes on patients from the local wildlife charity. Despite being well established the practice has been modernised and is fully equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical facilities including but not limited to: Blood pressure monitoring, X-Ray, Ultrasound, ECG, In-House laboratory, Dental Equipment, Hospitalisation facilities and an in-house pharmacy. The practice has on and off road and is close to a local park.
They are a team of 3 Vets 2 Part-time, 1 Full-time, 1 other Nurse and a receptionist. They work well as a team and continually update their knowledge and skills to provide the best service to their clients and patients
The Role:
The position is flexible depending on your needs but up to 40 hours per week. The shifts are a mixture of 10:00 am – 19:00 pm, 8:30 am – 16:00 pm or 9:30 am – 15:30 pm. The weekend rota is 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 8:30 am – 12:00 pm, with No out of hours. You will be required to participate in a mixture of general nursing duties and reception duties.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be client led, level-headed, friendly and confident with all duties as there may be some sole charge nursing responsibilities. There will always be a Vet on hand but you may be the only nurse on duty. The team pride themselves on being able to have fun but also be professional. The care of the client and pets are the main priority of the practice.For the right candidate, Head nurse progression may be available.
In return our client is offering a competitive salary between £20,000 and £26,000 dependent on experience, RCVS and VDS fees paid, 6 weeks holiday and other benefits. CPD is encouraged.
