We are recruiting on behalf of an exceptional independent veterinary practice situated in West Sussex who is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
Our client has been established since the 1970's and remains a family run independent practice with traditional values that inspire them to always deliver personal, compassionate and quality veterinary care. Since opening, they have expanded and now have 4 surgeries across West Sussex.
All practices have parking facilities, a comfortable waiting area, in-house pharmacy, spacious and well-equipped consultation rooms. Their facilities include air-conditioned kennels, extensive in-house laboratory, isolation unit, prep room, heating facilities including fluid line heaters, heat mats, Bair Hugger unit, modern theatre with cutting-edge anaesthetic monitoring devices, complete range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical equipment, diathermy and suction machines, digital x-ray and processing software, dental equipment, state of the art ultrasound machine, endoscopy with video screen.
The team across the branches consists of 15 nurses supporting 8 vets. The practice really looks after its staff, and offers extensive training in order that they can provide the highest level of care to their patients.
The practice is looking to take on a full time registered veterinary nurse on a permanent basis. Working hours are on average 37.5 per week. Shifts are run on a rota basis and will usually be 7.00 am to 3.00 pm, 8.00 am to 4.00pm, 11.00 am to 7.00 pm or 12.00 pm to 8.00 pm. There is a full weekend rota of 1:10, as well as a Saturday rota of 1:10. There is no out of hours requirement. In return the practice can offer a salary from £22,000 depending on experience, CPD allowance of £500.00 and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care and have the drive to succeed in delivering exceptional standards of care to patients. The practice is happy to consider applicants of all experience levels. Good all-round nursing skills are required, and you will have the opportunity to develop these through working with a fantastic team of nurses.
