We are working with a client based near the Peak District, Derbyshire that are looking to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent full-time basis.

This independently run practice provide only the highest standard of care and their team takes great pride in treating every animal as it is their own. You will be joining a friendly team of Vets and Nurses that are supported by a fantastic team of reception and administration staff. They all work well as a team and have a friendly and supportive environment.
Our client is an approved Veterinary Nurse Training Practice, which means that as a Veterinary Nursing Approved Centre they are an organisation approved by the RCVS to manage veterinary nurse training and assessment. They are based in a modern practice with state of the art facilities including two operating theatres, fully equipped with modern anaesthetic equipment and monitoring facilities. They have a separate dog, cat and isolation wards to reduce stress and any risk of infection. All are safe, comfortable and warm, with x-ray facilities for instant results, ECG heart monitoring equipment with a computerized link to a cardiology specialist, extensive laboratory with a full range of equipment for same day results, Ultrasound and endoscopes available for non-invasive internal investigations. They also offer specialist services including Exotic Medicine, Acupuncture and a Referral Service, Ultrasonic dental equipment, for pet’s dental hygiene. Their team of nurses run regular clinics covering a broad range of topics such as dental hygiene, nutrition, weight management and senior health. Every month they hold a “puppy party” for recently registered puppies and offer free kitten clinics.
Our client is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their busy team on a full time permanent basis. The working week is 40 hours with shifts on a rota basis.
The weekend rota is 1 in 6 9:00-13:00 and Sun shift 10:00-12:00. you will get the Friday off the following week in lieu.
Your responsibilities will include anaesthetic monitoring, radiography, Schedule 3 procedures, inpatient and post operative monitoring, nurse clinics, laboratory work.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary, pension scheme, 4 weeks annual leave + bank holidays. CPD is strongly encouraged and funded by the practice.
To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
