We are currently working with an independent group of practices based in Essex that is looking to recruit a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and happy team.
Client:
This is a fabulous opportunity for a fairly autonomous small animal vet to join a lovely, RCVS accredited practice working from one of their branches based in Essex which is ideally situated for the coast, countryside and swift commute into London. It would be working as part of a dedicated team of vets and nurses in a practice with a loyal and growing client base. Their friendly and dedicated staff are all trained and experienced in using veterinary equipment available in the practices. These include endoscope and bronchoscope, video autoscope, k-laser, cryosurgery, radiography equipment, tonometer, and much more. They are also able to offer specialist care in: dermatology, behaviour, cardiology, surgery, medicine, and ophthalmology using the latest equipment and materials.
Role:
This is a permanent sole charge small animal post working with two qualified nurses and receptionists Monday to Friday 9 am - 6.30 pm, 1:8/9 out of hours/on call from 7-8pm, weekends 1:8/9 Saturday or Sunday - rota TBC - branch work.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the practice and must be comfortable and competent with sole charge - although they will have recourse to discuss cases with other vets working at other branches within the practice. Their team will support on-going development or the taking of an advanced certificate as continuous improvement is strongly encouraged. Minimum of 2 years UK veterinary experience required.

Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday - 9 am- 6.30 pm (they would also consider 2 part time on a job share)
WE: 1:8/9 rota - TBC
OOHs: 1:8/9 late night from 7-8pm

Salary: Competitive - dependent on skills and experience + CPD + VDS + 5 week’s holiday plus Bank Holidays
System: Robovet

To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
