We are currently working with an independent, friendly, well-equipped practice that is looking for an experienced small animal vet to join their committed, caring and highly skilled team of vets and nurses based in West Sussex.
The Practice:
Our client has a team of 2 vets and 3 RVN & 2 part-time receptionists working from their family run, professional independent practice. They put 100% passion into the care of small animals. This practice boasts some of the finest veterinary knowledge & facilities in the Sussex area, their team takes their time to offer the perfect balance of care and expertise for healthy pets and happy owners. They have all the latest facilities which include digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray and have a large prep room and theatre. The practice is well on their way to receiving investors in people status and pride themselves on how they look after their team members.
The Role:
This is the perfect opportunity for a vet with between 2 to 7 years’ experience who is looking for the next step in their career. This is a general practice role, so you must be confident with both medicine & surgery.
This is a permanent full-time post working 08:30-19:00 with 1 full day off per week upon negotiation. It includes the following weekend rota 1:2 Saturdays 08:00-12:00. There is no on call as this is covered by a local out of hours’ service
The ideal candidate will be:
- Dynamic
- Business savvy
- Computer literate (however training will be given on practice systems)
- Able to work to set targets
- Good customer service understanding
- Good clinical case work up
- Prepared to delegate
- Adherence to company protocols
Type: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon
Hours: Full-time - 08:30-19:00 with 1 full day off per week upon negotiation
Weekend: 1:2 Saturday mornings
OOH: No
Sole charge: On occasion
Salary: The salary on offer is competitive and negotiable, reflective of skills and experience +CPD +BSAVA +Company discounts & health options. Upon passing probation successful candidate is eligible for company private medical and company pension.
