We are currently working with a friendly private growing practice based in Southampton, Hampshire. They are looking to recruit an ambitious, friendly, driven, client focused small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The Practice:
Our client has two branches situated in the Southampton area conveniently close to the M27.  The practice is privately owned and they aim to provide a friendly and efficient service where their clients can rest assured that their pet is in the best hands & will receive the care it needs from their dedicated staff. With the latest equipment and technologies available at this clinic, they can offer their clients a full range of veterinary services on site for domestic pets of all types. This includes cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, fish and exotic species. Their facilities and services include routine & emergency operations, ultrasound, X-Rays, endoscopy, blood testing, dermatology, health checks, weight control and dietary needs, micro- chipping, pet foods, and accessories.

The Role:
This is a unique opportunity for a committed small animal vet who believes in delivering quality care and customer service to their clients in this community. It is a full-time permanent position working between the hours of 9 am- 8 pm Monday to Friday approximately 40 hours per week with 1:3 Saturdays 9 am -5 pm and Sunday 10am-1pm.  The post will involve sole charge however, it does not include OOHs or on call.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will work alongside another vet and nursing staff and be a good communicator and have at least 5 years’ veterinary experience.  Confident with sole charge and competent in routine and general practitioner duties the successful applicant will be able to display energy, stamina, care and a willingness to develop and grow the business further.  The remuneration package will include a good market based competitive salary plus activity related bonus scheme.
