We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly independent first opinion practice situated in north Lincolnshire.
The practice requires a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis as soon as possible.
The Practice:
This is a well-established practice which opened 1985. The practice has since expanded and now has 3 branch practices with 6 full-time veterinary surgeons, 8 nurses, 12 receptionists, 3 kennel maids, an administrator and a practice manager.
The practice is well equipped and includes x-ray facilities, ECG machine, endoscopy, cryosurgery, ultrasound equipment, dental facilities, separate dog and cat wards and an isolation unit.
It has also passed the College of Animal Welfare Standards as a training practice for veterinary nurses.
The aim of the practice is to be an excellent first opinion practice, offering a value for money service.
The Role:
This is a permanent, full-time role.
You will be working a 4.5 day week, hours are between 8:00 am - 5:30 pm or 8:00 am - 6:30 pm
There is 1 night in 5 on call, where the Vet takes the phone and returns to the practice if required and also 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday surgery and then on call until Monday am).
This role will be based at the main practice, however, you may be required to work at all three of their branches on occasion, which is within commutable distance to each other.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be confident to work sole charge when on call.
The practice would ideally like someone with one-two years' experience however they would consider a new graduate.

OOH: 1 in 5 nights a week and 1:4 weekends
