A lovely independent practice, with a branch either side the Lancashire/ Greater Manchester Border is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with some experience to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis.
The Practice:
Our client is an independent, forward thinking practice with high standards, that offers a work-life balance second to none. You will be part of a friendly and professional team, including 3 vets (plus practice principal) and 7 nurses, offering gold standard service to clients and pets in the local area. Both surgeries offer both ops and consults; one being a 2 vet and the other a 1 vet practice and their existing vets are experienced in surgery, medicine and imaging and can, therefore, offer advice and support.
The Role:
This part-time position working 2 days per week, with shifts of 8am-8pm, with a lunch break and all important tea breaks too! The practice finds that their vets enjoy a much better work-life balance and prefer this kind of rota.
The weekend involvement is 1:3 limited hours, Saturday 9am-1pm, Sunday 10am-12 midday, with no OOH.
10 weeks a year, you will be required to work 4 days/ week, to cover for holidays.
Consults are 12 minutes and the role will involve some sole charge, between the 2 branches. If you would prefer to be based solely at their smaller branch this could be negotiated.
The Candidate:
You will be confident with routine ops and consults; capable to work sole charge, but also keen to develop your skills as part of a small and friendly team. Perhaps 3 years+ experience would be good, but a candidate of less experience would also be welcome with the right attitude and skills.
In return, you will be rewarded an excellent salary dependent on skills and experience, paid RCVS/ VDS fees and £1,000/ 2 days’ CPD allowance.
