A wonderful opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a delightful, friendly, well established, independent practice situated close to the coast and beautiful countryside and near to the canal network which links villages in the North of Lancashire.
This practice is looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their caring and committed team of professionals.
The Practice:
Our client is an independent, friendly practice was established originally as a mixed practice carrying out farm work as well as horses, dogs, and cats. Over the years they have become more tailored to meet the needs of small animal and equine veterinary care [medicine and surgery]. The mix now is 98% small animal 2% large/equine.
They offer a full range of veterinary services including a full 24-hour emergency service for their client plus excellent facilities for consultations, digital X-ray, ultrasound scanning, operating theatre, in-house laboratory facility, dental appointment, ECG and blood pressure monitoring.
The Role:
Our client is flexible on the amount of hours for this position so it is available on a full or part time basis.
The hours are flexible, with the standard working hours during the week being 08:45-19:00 Monday-Friday. You will also be required to work Saturdays 10:00-13:00 on a rota basis.
The on-call is usually covered by the practice owner but you may be required to help with this on occasions when they are away.
You will be working with 5 dedicated vets, 4 nurse/receptionists in a compassionate practice equipped with the latest equipment.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be customer focused, friendly, flexible, happy to adjust to working with a small close knit team and confident to take on some sole charge duties on Saturday mornings - although someone will always be on call to help.
The ideal applicant will have small animal veterinary experience with at least 2 years’ experience in general/small animal practice and be confident working to an appointment system with 15-minute slots.
