An exciting opportunity has come up for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy and friendly practice, located in Nottingham.
The Practice
The 5 Vet team is supported by 4 Nurses, 4 Receptionists, and a Practice Assistant all who work in a collaborative and caring manner. This is a progressive surgery dedicated to providing the highest standards of care to clients and their pets.
The bright, air conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, BP monitor, ECG, biochemistry, in-house microscopy and a full surgical suite. They enjoy a good variety of interesting medical and surgical cases at their practice, most dogs, and cats but also quite a few rabbits with about 50-60% insured client base.
The practice is committed to practicing ethical, gold standard medicine and nursing care, holding regular clinical and team meetings to assess and refine best practice. New ideas and discussions are always welcomed and encouraged.
The Role
This opportunity can be full or part time depending on your circumstances. The hours for the full-time role will be 40 and will include 1 in 4 Saturday mornings only and no out of hours.
There is also partnership potential for the right candidate.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a strong, motivated vet who is skilled medically and experienced in surgery. Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills along with a demonstrable passion for the chosen career and a cheerful can do attitude would be perfect. You will need to feel comfortable doing sole charge on Saturdays but you’ll have lots of colleagues to discuss cases with during the week.
