We are currently working with an established, independent, progressive practice based in a scenic and picturesque location in Lincolnshire that is currently looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
The successful candidate would be joining a team of 3 vets and a dedicated nursing and support team working in a three-branch practice with a loyal client base. This practice was founded in the 1950’s and moved to their current site in the 1980’s they treat all types of animals. The practice was completely refurbished in 2004 to include a purpose-built two-storey extension which accommodates two new operating theatres, separate dog and cat wards, larger isolation facilities and a new laboratory. They also have all the ‘kit’ to aid with diagnosis and treatment e.g. X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy.
This is a full-time permanent post working 4 days a week with 2 long shifts 8.30 - 7.00 and 2 short shifts 10.00 - 5.00. You will work 1 in 4 Saturdays 8.30 - 12.00 and then stay on call for the remainder of the weekend as well as 1 night during the week.
The workload at the practice is steady and the OOHs are generally quiet.
It would suit a forward thinking, flexible, adaptable practical vet who is open to new ideas and who can ‘hit the ground running’. A dedicated, hard-working individual with a happy personality and good sense of humour with realistic expectations and interested in their ongoing development and possibly taking a certificate in a specialised area of veterinary medicine.
