We are currently working on behalf of a well-established independent practice on the Norfolk/Suffolk border who due to expansion are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their 8 Vet team.
The Practice:
Our client is a family run, privately owned practice which has been in Norfolk and Suffolk for over 100 years. They pride themselves on being a practice that can look after any animal family member from a tree frog to an alpaca as well as more normal pets, horses, and commercial farm animals. Their family of Vets, Nurses, and lay staff work hard to provide a friendly and professional service to all their customers and their animals. This practice is also a resident vet for two local zoos so if you have an interest and experience in exotics this is a great opportunity!
The Role:
This position is full time working Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6 pm. The weekend rota will be 1 in 2 Saturday mornings 8.30am - 12 pm and you will receive half a day in lieu during the week.
There is an out of hours rota of 1 in 6 weekends and 1 in 6 weeknights on call. When you are on call for the full weekend you will have the following Friday off to make a 3-day weekend.
The Candidate:
This position would suit an experienced veterinary surgeon with 3 years + experience. You will be confident with routine surgery and consults, a great communicator and work well in a team.
