We are currently working with a delightful RCVS accredited practice in Kent situated close to the sea and scenic countryside yet only a short train journey of 38 mins into London.
Our client is looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their existing team of 10 vets, 12 nurses and support staff.
Our client has been active in the local community for over 100 years and has therefore built up a strong and loyal client base. They have a main purpose-built, fully air-conditioned hospitalisation facility plus 2 branches as part of their group. The services they are able to offer are absolutely excellent and that is why they receive many letters of thanks and recommendations. They are able to provide dedicated operating theatres where they perform large numbers of orthopaedic procedures, radiography, CT scanner, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy [laparoscopic [keyhole] bitch spays], on-site laboratory, same day appointments, house visits, 24-hour on-site emergency service. They have been RCVS accredited to the highest standard as a Tier 3 hospital and their staff are highly skilled and include advanced practitioners in small animal & soft tissue surgery, radiography, & imaging. This practice places a strong emphasis on continued development and improvement as they are also a training centre for nursing staff. However, vets wishing to progress will also be strongly encouraged.
This is a permanent, full time, small animal veterinary surgeon position working Monday to Friday on a shift pattern between 8 am - 8 pm. The weekend rota is 1 in 8 full weekends and 1 in 8 Saturdays with the remainder spent on call. There is also a shared OOHs rota of 1 in 8 nights on call. You will receive a long 3-day weekend after the weekend spent on call.
