We are currently recruiting for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a brand new practice in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This is a full-time permanent position that would suit an experienced vet that is confident in surgical and medical cases.
The Practice:
In Partnership with their existing successful practice in Leeds, the partners of a well-established practice are opening a new small animal surgery in Leeds. Due to the success of the existing partnership, the role will be based over the 2 sites that are within a 3-mile proximity of each other. You will work alongside six other experience vets and 3 RVN’s. Their bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgeries are purpose-built to industry-leading standards and have state of the art equipment including digital X-Ray, Ultrasound and in-house laboratory facilities. You will be joining a team dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care and as these roles will play a key part within a small, friendly team the ideal candidates will be adaptable and flexible.
The Role:
This position is full time, working around 38 ½ hours per week, 9am-7pm 4 days per week. The role includes a 1:3 weekend rota working Saturday 9am-4pm and Sundays 11-4pm. You will receive a day off in Lieu the following week. There will be no out of hours or on call, to support a great work-life balance. The split of 60% work in the current practice and 40% in the New practice will give you a varied caseload.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be confident with all routine surgical and medical cases and enjoy building relationships with patients and clients. Successful applicants must be confident with sole charge responsibility and have around 12months or more experience in practice. You will be offered support towards a certificate in medicine or surgery to complement the high-quality skillset and caseload currently supplying a superior level of Veterinary Care to their existing 8,000 pet database
In return, the practice is offering a salary of £36,000 + dependant on experience, fully funded CPD, BVA, VDS, RCVS, a pension scheme and 20% company discounts.
