Our client is looking to recruit a full-time, small animal Veterinary Surgeon for their practice in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
The Practice:
Our client is a friendly, caring veterinary practice that is independently owned and run by the members of staff that are working there. The practice is an approved Tier 2 RCVS surgery and are also a nurse training centre. Their practice is established amongst the local community and now provides care to thousands of pets every year. They know as well as anyone that owners consider their pets to be a member of the family and that is why the whole team works hard to provide the very best veterinary care services.
The practice provides a full range of services and their veterinary care is underpinned by the use of a full range of modern treatments
The Role:
This role is full-time working shift patterns that include 09:00-17:00 / 09:00-19:00 / 09:00-13:00 & 11:00-19:00.
The weekends and out of hours are on a rota basis of:-
1:7 Saturday mornings 09:00-15:00 then on call, followed by Sunday 10.00 -12.00 then on call until Monday morning. You will also work 1 night in 10 on call. When fully staffed the practice has a team of 7 full-time and 3 part-time vets all ranging in experience with a couple of certificate holders.
The Candidate:
You will have a couple of years’ experience and be confident with out of hours and performing occasional sole charge.

Accommodation: Rented flat available that is a 5 minutes’ walk away from the practice
Salary: Competitive salary that is dependent on experience, 6 weeks holiday and CPD allowance
To qualify for this position, you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
