A friendly practice in Central Hertfordshire is looking to recruit a small animal Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious confident vet to join a growing and supportive practice.
The Practice:
Established in 1985, this Central Hertfordshire based practice is still independent, and privately owned. They have always been noted for providing a warm, caring approach to pet and owner, all at competitive prices. Fully equipped with the most modern equipment, they are experts in all domestic, and many exotic animals. Whether an emergency or routine medical visit, patients will receive the very best care from the expert Vets and skilled Nurses. Last year they opened a brand-new branch and require a vet to take on the running of this branch in a sole charge position.
The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of running a new practice, whilst enjoying the support of a team of 3 Vets and an excellent support team of Nurses and reception staff at the main practice which is only 10 minutes away.
The position is full time, working 4.5 days per week from 9.00am – 7.00 pm, with a half day from 9.00 am-12.00 pm. There is a weekend rota of 1:2 working Saturday mornings from 9.00 am -12.00 pm.
There is no out of hours requirement with this role.
The Candidate:
The practice is looking for someone special, who is confident with basic surgical skills and happy working on their own initiative. As the practice have excellent facilities, if you have a keen interest in a field, then you can develop these interests and certificates are encouraged and fully funded.
The successful candidate will be confident and competent, and relish the opportunity to run a sole charge practice. There can be a degree of support from the main practice, but you must be happy with sole charge. The vet will be supported by either one or two very experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses.
