We are currently working with an independent, family run practice, with five branches across the Surrey area, who are looking to recruit a permanent full-time Veterinary Surgeon to be based at the main branch with one day per week of sole charge branch work.
The Practice:
The practice has a wonderful team of experienced and friendly staff, including 5 veterinary surgeons, 7 veterinary nurses, two animal nursing assistants and four receptionists. They pride themselves on the quality and range of equipment that they have accumulated since opening their first practice in 1997. Four out of the five surgeries have full operating and hospitalisation facilities. Their out of hours service is covered by an external provider.
The Role:
The practice is looking for a full time, permanent Veterinary Surgeon to work 4.5 days per week. Hours are 8:30 am until 6:30 pm, with a half day working from 8:30 am to 1.00 pm. There is a weekend rota of 1:4 Saturday mornings, working from 8:30 am - 1.00 pm. Some sole charge is required when working at a branch one day per week. They run to consult times of 15 minutes.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of veterinary experience, which must include surgery. They are looking for a competent and confident vet who will be able to support and fit in well with the existing team. In return they are offering a competitive salary depending on experience, along with £1000 allowance of CPD, company pension scheme, and 4 weeks of annual leave.
