We are currently working with a fantastic RCVS accredited veterinary hospital in Dunfermline, that is one of only eight in the whole of Scotland, who require a full-time Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis.
The Practice:
This practice provides 24-hour hospital care along with routine appointments. They have visiting specialists who provide expertise in areas including cardiology, orthopaedics, dermatology and feline medicine. The hospital tends to run a team of 6 vets along with a team of friendly and highly skilled nurses in support. The practice has a fantastic reputation founded on pet-focused care and exceeding client expectations, delivering the highest quality of care.
The Role:
The practice is looking for a permanent full-time Veterinary Surgeon, to work 4 days out of 7. The shifts are 10 hours per day, between 7:45 am and 7 pm on a rolling rota.
The weekend rota is 1:12 working day shifts only. There is also a night rota of 1:12, whereby the vet would be required to work 7-night shifts, with 7 days of stand down to follow.
The role will be a mixture of consulting and operations, so surgical experience is necessary.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience working as a qualified veterinary surgeon and will be confident with all consulting and surgical duties. You will be motivated and enthusiastic and will fit in well with the existing friendly and passionate team.
In return, the practice can offer a generous salary, along with £1,000 CPD, company pension scheme and 7 weeks holiday.
