We are currently recruiting on behalf of a busy first opinion small animal and equine practice based in Bedfordshire who are looking to recruit an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.
Established in 1982, our client is an independently owned small animal and equine practice. Their vision is to provide the best, first opinion small animal and equine veterinary care for your pets. They strive to give excellent customer care by providing a sympathetic, flexible and efficient service as they offer the personal touch and do their best to encourage case continuity. As most of them are pet owners themselves, they understand the hugely important role their pets have as a member of their families.
They are looking for a passionate and competent vet to join their team. The role consists of a 38-hour week from Monday to Friday with 1:4 nights on call. The call itself is first assessed by a nurse to see if the Vet is needed. Along with this there is a requirement for 1:4 weekends, but you will receive the following Monday and Tuesday off. The exact working hours are to be confirmed.
The ideal candidate will be a competent and confident vet. They will be passionate about delivering an exceptional level of care and service to the patients and clients. The practice is looking for a vet with at least 2 years of experience, who will fit in well with the existing team. They are offering a competitive salary ranging from £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience, along with funded CPD. They are very supportive and fund vets working towards certificates. There are also some other great benefits such as a pension and free healthcare for staff pets. A candidate who is experienced in using an endoscope would be highly attractive to the practices as this would allow them to purchase an endoscope for the practice.
