We have an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who is primarily small animal but is comfortable with doing very minimal farm/equine work to join a fantastic practice in Dover, Kent.
This is a full-time permanent role and our client will consider a New Grad through to an experienced Vet for this position.
For the mixed veterinary surgeon, the work will be split mainly 80% small animal, 15% exotics, 5% large animal/equine.
The Company:
Our client is a six-vet General Practice right on the south coast of Kent. They have branch surgeries in the neighboring towns around Dover.
They are a General Practice for all animal species, who also accept referrals of avian (bird), reptile and all exotic species from other veterinary practices and zoological/wildlife collections across Kent and beyond; as well as surgical referrals for both orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery.
They have comprehensive in-house surgical, laboratory, dental and diagnostic facilities, they treat and operate on all exotics including reptiles, birds, small mammals, amphibians, and fish.
They offer a full 24-hour emergency service by their own staff at their main surgery; they provide veterinary services to Kent's top wildlife and zoological collections.
The Role:
The majority of this role will be 80% small animal with 15% exotics and 5% split across basic large and equine work, however, they will also consider 100% small animal vets.
The hours Monday - Friday are 08:30-19:00, with the OOH and weekend rota being:
OOH 1:5 week nights
1:5 full weekends
1:5 Saturday mornings 09:00 - 13:00
These are pager carrier OOH's shifts.
You must be able to drive and hold a full driving license.
