We are currently working on behalf of a lovely independent family run practice in Central Warwickshire that is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team ASAP (Newly graduate considered).

•       Independent practice in Central Warwickshire
•       To join a team of 3 ½ Vets
•       5 days per week with a shared out of hours and weekend rota

The Practice:
Our client was set up in the 1950’s at their main site in a beautiful part of Warwickshire. Since then it has expanded to include a branch surgery which has a team of experienced Veterinary Surgeon, Nurses, and trained support staff, with a full range of modern equipment and facilities.

If a companion animal required a special diagnostic test or treatment procedure, this will usually be performed at their main site where they have a fully equipped operating theatre complete with anaesthetic monitoring equipment and modern diagnostic equipment as well as qualified support staff to assist.

The Role:
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday between 9.00-19.00. The weekend rota is 1:3 Saturday working 9.00-15.00 and on-call Friday-Monday, the weekday on-call is also on a 1:3 rota.

Our client has stressed that on call is quiet and if they see two clients per week then it is classed as a busy week. Also when on call an answer phone service is provided so they are not holding the phone.
The role would be based across both sites.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate would be outgoing, friendly and good with people. Client rapport is extremely important

Our client is looking for a competent veterinary surgeon with at least 2-3 years experience (Newly graduate considered). It is not a sole charge position however vets who are confident in sole charge are ideal as they will be responsible for the branch surgery although support is available when needed.

In return, our client of offering a competitive salary DOE + 4 weeks holiday + Bank holiday + CPD

Role: Veterinary Surgeon
Type: Small Animal
Hours: Monday-Friday between 9.00-19.00
Weekends: 1:3 Saturdays and will include on call over the whole weekend
Out of hours: 1:3
Salary: Generous salary package
