We are recruiting for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent hospital practice situated in the Braintree District of Essex. This is a full-time role that would suit a vet that is confident in all areas, a surgical bias would also be beneficial.

The Practice:
The practice is RCVS accredited tier 3 veterinary hospital and has 4 branch practices within the local area. They have excellent facilities and equipment that you would expect to find in a hospital practice and branch practices are also modern and equipped with diagnostic and surgical facilities. With a team of 10 vets, 16 nurses, VCAs and at each clinic dedicated receptionists they are a busy practice with varied cases. Five of the vets are specialists or studying to be specialists in surgery, dermatology, acupuncture and emergency, critical care offering the highest standard of care to their patients and clients. 

The Role: 
The role would be mainly based at the hospital but occasional branch work will be required. Duties include all general veterinary duties within a busy practice.
This position is full-time, working Monday to Friday with shifts between 8:30 am-8:30 pm. You will be working 4 days per week, with 1 late night shift per week. 

The weekend rota is 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and 1:16 Saturday/Sunday shift.

The Candidate:
Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is a good team player and can work within a diverse, friendly team. Occasional sole charge is required so applicants must be confident in all areas. A surgical bias would also be beneficial.

In return, the practice can offer a generous salary and package based on experience, including pension, CPD, annual leave etc.

To qualify for this position, you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
