We have a fantastic opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a lovely practice in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. They are looking for a candidate with good general surgical and medical skills to join them on a permanent basis.
The Practice:
This a friendly, independent practice serving clients and pets in the local area since the 1970s. They offer large waiting rooms, consulting rooms, modern theatres, plus a dedicated preparation and dental procedure room, an ultrasound machine, blood pressure measurement equipment and an extensive laboratory. They believe in taking the time to explain treatment options and doing their very best for clients and their pets. They have a large friendly team of 6 vets supported by 17 nurses and work together to provide the best possible service to customers.
The Role:
This is a full-time role working 4.5 or 4 days/ week negotiable, but applications would also be welcome from part-time candidates.
The practice is open 8.00 am-7.00 pm, so you will be working shifts within these hours. Saturdays will be worked on a rota basis from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, as well as 1:6 or 7 OOH.
The practice is proud to offer their own OOH service; to be there for their loyal clients when needed most.
The Candidate:
The practice is seeking a team player, with fantastic communication skills. The ideal candidate will have good general surgical and medical skills and at least 2 years’ experience in practice, with a strong customer focus and the ability to build good relationships with regular clients. The practice can offer a competitive salary, dependent on your skills and experience, plus funded CPD, RCVS fees, pension scheme and 5 weeks holiday.
