We are currently working with an RCVS accredited mixed practice based in the heart of Kent that is looking for a mixed veterinary surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.
Client:
Our client has been treating and caring for animals in the Kent area for over 100 years and has built up a friendly, reputable practice. Their main branch is based in Cranbrook with four other branches located in the area. They work with companion animals equine and farm animals [90% small animal 10% large and equine) including referrals and second opinion work. Their practice is well equipped and is able to offer the following services: acupuncture, X-ray, dentistry, ECG referrals, Echocardiography & Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology referrals, nutrition advice, vaccinations, a variety of clinics, microchipping, pet insurance and passports plus 24-hour emergencies.
Role:
Working with 10 vets and 7 nurses plus a practice support team this is a permanent full time position working an average of 40 hours per week Monday to Friday various shifts between 9am-7pm, 1:4 weekend rota on call Friday, Saturday & Sunday, and 1:5 nights per week on call – with time off in lieu. Sole charge applies purely when working on call however advice, help and assistance is always available.
Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with mixed animal veterinary work and will be client focused and happy to work as part of an integrated team.

WE/On call: 1:4 - Friday, Saturday & Sunday – on call
OOHs/On call: 1:5 nights per week - on call
Sole Charge: while on call – although help will always be at hand

Salary: Competitive – dependent on skills and experience + CPD
To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
