We are currently working with a modern practice based in Poole, Dorset who are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the enthusiastic and fun team, in a friendly working environment with a great work-life balance.
Our client offers long-term security within a successful privately owned group. This would be such a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a purpose-built, small animal 1st opinion practice. It is a superb opportunity to take charge of this fast expanding site and have the autonomy to run the practice as your own.
This is not a branch surgery but a standalone, purpose-built practice with a larger floor space than the other two busy sites, to include a 4500 sq foot pet shop attached.
Facilities include ultrasound and radiography.
The team of 12 includes a full-time vet at each practice plus the owner, 4 nurses and reception staff.
Some experience is necessary as you will be the lead vet so it is a predominantly sole charge role, so you will need to be confident with both consults and ops.
This role would be a predominantly sole charge, however, you would be supported by the owner plus one of the other practices which are only 15 minutes away.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with shifts of 9am-6.30pm with a lunch break, and this will include consults and ops. You will be working between our clients two sites (Approximately 2/3 days in Poole, 1 or 2 at Bournemouth site).
The weekend rota is 1:4 full Saturdays and 1:4 Saturday mornings, with time off in lieu and no out of hours required; further details of the rota will be discussed at interview.
In return, our client offers a generous salary, commensurate with experience, and benefits that include:
- There is no CPD budget so you are free to do as much as you like, as and when needed
- A bonus of 1% of turnover is also offered
Our client is happy to hold a phone interview in the first instance if you are not local, or if you are local a chat and look around would enable you both to discuss the role in more detail.
To qualify for this position, you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
What happens next: Click APPLY to apply for this role and a member of our team will be in touch if you have been successful.
