We are currently working on behalf of a small animal Veterinary practice in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, who are currently recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their 5 Vet team.

• Veterinary practice in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
• To join a team of 5 Vets, 3 RVN’s 4 ANA’s and 3 reception staff
• Full time, with OOH and weekends

The Practice:
Our client is a 5 Vet practice and has been established since 1859. They take pride in their reputation of being professional, reliable, and caring to all their pet patients.

They provide 24/7 emergency care outside normal working hours, 365 days a year at their purpose built surgery. There are 3 consulting rooms for veterinary consultations and Nurse clinics. They also have a dedicated, well equipped theatre where they perform a range of surgical procedures.

As well as this, they have a range of in house equipment to help diagnose and monitor pets, including: 
• In house blood machine
• Microscope
• Digital x-ray
• Ultrasound
• Blood pressure and ECG monitoring capabilities
• Oxygen tent for cats and dogs
• Dental machine
• Anaesthetic machine
• Walk in kennel

The Role: 
This is a full-time position, joining a team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 RVNs, 4 ANA’s and 3 reception staff on one site. 
The hours are Monday - Friday between 9.00-18.00 and the on call rota consists of 1 night per week and 1:5 weekends working Saturday 9.00-12.00 with on call.

To qualify for this role, you must be able to perform, neutering, ex laps, caesareans. Our client would also like someone that is prepared to work towards a certificate/ further studies

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary + 20 days holiday + Bank holiday (ooh equally shared) + £1000 CPD + accommodation or allowance if required + RCVS + VDS

To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
