We are currently working with a superb RCVS accredited practice situated in a quaint little market town nestled at the foothills of the valleys. A county town rich in heritage and history & idyllically based close to the beautiful Welsh countryside or seashore. Our client is looking to recruit a permanent small animal veterinary surgeon to join their amazing team.
The Practice:
Our client is well-established and recently moved into fabulous purpose-built premises at their main site with three branches in the local area. They are now able to offer outstanding standards of small animal care and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon highest ‘Tier 3’ accredited diagnostic and treatment facilities. They currently have a fantastic team of 11 vets and 17 nurses. The practice has a wide range of facilities available including 24-hour nursing care, intensive care facilities such as oxygen units and intravenous fluid pumps, ultrasound machines, operating theatres, endoscopy, and ECG.
The Role:
This is a permanent small animal veterinary surgeon post working Monday-Friday 40 hours p/w on the following rota pattern 8.00 – 16.00 or 9.00 – 18.30 or 12.00- 20.00 – OOHs/On-call – 1 night per week
& WE: 1:3 9.00- 14.00 Sat & Sun and 1:6 full weekend incl. on call - Sole charge when working at one of the branches – Consults – 15 minutes.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be flexible & approachable with a personable manner. The post would suit either a new graduate or a veterinary surgeon of 1 or 2 years + experience or someone who has a passion for veterinary medicine and has been practicing for a number of years. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to working to gold standard customer service delivery and be a good team player.

Salary: Varies – New grad - £27,000 1 year + experience £32,400 and 2 years £35,500 thereafter DOE plus, relative skills – CPD - £1000 – 5 days – VDS paid – holiday 20 days plus bank holiday.
