Permanent Referral Registered Veterinary Nurse - Pulborough

Role:

  • Based at their Storrington hospital you will work as a general hospital nurse covering a variety of roles and duties, but with a specialism in referral nursing.
  • This RVN will be the main nurse responsible for overseeing surgical procedures and scopes, whilst ensuring that SDVR procedures are properly planned and prepared.
  • They will liaise with the Lead Nurses to ensure that SDVR procedures have the required rooms, staff, and equipment assigned.
  • They will work closely with the Practice Manager to ensure clients coming in for procedures receive a premium, seamless service.
  • This RVN will be required to support surgeries such as patella luxation surgery, TPLO, fracture repair, BOAS surgery, laparoscopy, and ophthalmic surgery on a regular basis.
  • They should also be happy to integrate with our on-site CT scanner and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy and underwater treadmill, to maximise patient outcomes.

Hours:

  • RVNs typically work a 4-day week, totaling 40 hours.
  • Usually working a mixture of shifts (7.30 am-6.30 pm, 8 am-7 pm, and 8.30 am-7.30 pm).
  • Everyone contributes to the daytime weekend rota, bank holiday, and on-call rota; the on-call rota is very rarely used and only as a last resort, as they have otheir own night-teams and twilight RVNs on-site.

Salary: Competitive salary from £31,000-£34,000 p/a increasing with experience
