Patrick is a 1998 Dublin graduate Vet with a wealth of experience in the field of orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. As a celebrity of the veterinary world, you will often find Patrick covering lectures and holding CPD events also. As well as his love of orthopaedics, Patrick also owns a small animal Vet practice near Halifax, which together with his team, shares Patrick’s passion for high standards and veterinary care. Patrick and his wife have a friendly and dedicated clinical team who can offer a range of services from orthopaedics, complex soft tissue surgery, cardiology procedures, general first opinion/routine surgery, consultations and much more. The Head nurse also has her own consult room and offers a large range of nurse clinics and is very driven to help the practice move forward. Patrick has a separate orthopaedic and soft tissue referral business to which he runs across Yorkshire, he also has a love for all the latest gadgets including hand held x-ray machine, ultrasound, orthopaedic kits and currently investing in stem cell therapy! On-site facilities including 4 consult rooms, theatre, spacious prep room, separate dog/cat wards, isolation etc. Patrick and his team are forward thinking and like to move forward with new veterinary developments and are highly supportive of individual interests, CPD and new equipment to provide the most knowledgeable team and first class care.

This is a full-time position, 42hrs per week with 1 in 3 weekends. NO OOHs.
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious vet who would like to take clinical lead in the practice with strong previous experience. An interest in orthopaedics would be advantageous and there is opportunity to work along size Patrick and learn more complex procedures, however, this is not a necessity.
Excellent communication skills are required as the practice has been established for over 15 years now and has strong, lasting relationships with its clients and patients.
The practice can offer a generous salary up to £60,000 for a Senior/Clinical Lead Vet Surgeon, however vets with strong all-round experience can be considered as the practice has a very strong team of owners, managers, vets, nurses etc. They can also offer generous CPD, memberships, certificate potential, discounts etc.
To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
