​An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to take on a sole charge role at a branch surgery in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The practice is renowned for its excellent veterinary care for over 60 years and has grown into one of the area's largest Small Animal practices with 7 branches.

The Role:

  • The role involves working three to four days per week, with the flexibility to accommodate part-time applicants.

  • The successful candidate will have the option to split duties between the Pontefract surgery and a hospital, offering the opportunity to encounter more challenging cases and experience hospital work.

  • The position includes a weekend rota of 1:4, with the choice of a consult-only role at the branch or a hospital-based role for involvement with advanced cases.

The Candidate:

  • This role is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident working sole charge and enjoys working with a small, dedicated team.

  • The branch benefits from a regular Senior Vet, an experienced RVN, and a dedicated support team.

  • The practice offers a high degree of support from experienced colleagues and certificate holders in many disciplines, which can aid in managing cases within your branch.
