An esteemed veterinary referral centre in Shavington, Cheshire, seeks a certified Orthopaedic Surgeon to join their dedicated team. This opportunity is ideal for a confident and passionate professional capable of managing a growing and varied caseload.

The Role:

  • The center welcomes applications from both part-time and full-time candidates.
  • The successful candidate will join a surgical team currently comprising two lameness practitioners (another orthopaedic surgeon and an MSK diagnostician), supported by a dedicated surgical nursing team.
  • The role encompasses common surgical procedures such as TPLO, MLP/DFO/PGR, PTA/PCA, fracture repairs, angular limb surgeries, and several arthroscopic procedures. The position would also suit a surgeon interested in learning or already performing neurosurgery.

Applicant Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will work closely with the center's multidisciplinary team and have a strong interest in multimodal approaches to pain management and rehabilitation.
  • The MSK portion of the lameness service manages the diagnosis and treatment of many high-level agility canines using diagnostic MSK ultrasound and regenerative medicine therapies.
  • A collaborative approach is key to managing lameness cases to the highest standards.
