An established small animal practice in the North East of England is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for a forward-thinking practice and also for those seeking a more senior role.

More About The Practice:

  • The practice is a well-established entity that has been providing veterinary care to the region since 1950. It is a small animal-only practice spread across four sites, with the main site located in the seaside town of Hartlepool. The practice is soon to relocate its main surgery in Hartlepool to a new purpose-built building, which is an exciting development for the team.

  • The practice boasts a large and dedicated team, including many certificate holders within the veterinary and nursing team. The veterinary team includes certificate holders in surgery, dentistry, imaging, cardiology, and minimally invasive surgery. The practice is well-equipped at all sites, including ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, and endoscopy/laparoscopy.

More About The Role:

  • The role is ideally suited for a vet with a minimum of 3 years' in-practice experience who is confident with both routine consults and surgery and is also happy to sometimes work sole charge.

  • There is also an opportunity for those who may wish to adopt a more senior role, which would include mentoring the less experienced members of the team.

  • The full-time role is based on a 40-hour week, incorporating 1 in 4 Saturdays with no out-of-hours.

  • Part-time candidates looking for a more flexible work/life balance will also be considered.

Support:

  • The practice prides itself on providing a high standard of care in a friendly environment to its clients.

  • It encourages personal development in all team members and tries to allow everyone to expand their knowledge and learn new skills.
