A highly motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse is sought to join a progressive team at a well-established practice in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. The practice is centrally located with excellent transport links and is situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, offering outstanding natural countryside and amenities.

The Job

  • This role is open to both full-time and part-time candidates.

  • The rota shift timings vary with a mix of earlier and later shifts, including some weekend shifts (currently 1 in 7) with time off in lieu given after a weekend.

  • There are no out-of-hours shifts, although there is the opportunity to provide holiday cover if desired.

The Candidate:

  • Applicants should be conscientious, hardworking, and passionate about providing gold standard veterinary care.

  • Confidence in all aspects of the nursing rota is essential.

  • As an approved training practice, being a Clinical Coach would be advantageous but not imperative.

  • Training can be provided to support student nurses.

  • Candidates with a strong interest in anaesthesia/surgery are particularly welcome, but other interests are also encouraged.

The Team:

The successful candidate will join a team of 21 Day Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 6 Night Nurses, and 6 Kennel Assistants at the busy RCVS Practice Standards Scheme-accredited Animal Hospital. The practice encourages scheduled 3 work and supports additional training and qualifications.
