An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team at a well-established, RCVS Practice Standards Accredited clinic. This role offers clinical freedom within an independent-feel practice while benefiting from the support and resources of a larger veterinary group.

The Practice:

  • The team handles a diverse caseload, including medical and surgical care for cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs, with 20-minute consultations as standard.
  • The practice is purpose-built to leading industry standards, featuring modern facilities such as digital X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory.
  • Conveniently located with easy access to major roads and free parking, the clinic provides a bright, spacious, and air-conditioned working environment.

Team: The team members have varied interests, including behavior, wellness, and small furry care. Ongoing professional development is strongly encouraged, with support available for those pursuing a Certificate.

The Candidate: The ideal candidate will be confident in managing routine surgical and medical cases while building strong relationships with clients, patients, and colleagues.

The Hours: The role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, with a flexible rota that includes weekends on a 1-in-3 basis (with time off during the week). While occasional sole charge responsibilities are required, there are no out-of-hours duties.

Benefits Include:

  • Competitive salary up to £65,000 p/a (DOE/FTE)
  • Enhanced annual leave (28 days including bank holidays, increasing to 33 days)
  • Generous CPD allowance and professional development support
  • Contributory pension scheme
