An established veterinary practice in the Bridgwater area is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its knowledgeable and welcoming team. With a strong reputation for exceptional patient care since the 1980s, the practice is expanding to ensure continued high standards while maintaining a supportive work environment.

The Role:

  • Full-time or part-time options available (full-time includes a 4-day week with a set day off if preferred)
  • A mix of consulting, surgery, inpatient shifts, and time at a branch practice
  • Weekend rota: 1:6 full weekends, 1:6 half weekends
  • No out-of-hours work or bank holiday shifts (dedicated OOH service in place)
  • Special interests are encouraged and supported
  • Consult-only positions also considered

The Practice & Team:

This RCVS-accredited hospital and its branch practice offer state-of-the-art facilities, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopic equipment. The practice focuses on high-quality first-opinion small animal care, with a significant exotics caseload. Dedicated inpatient shifts ensure optimal patient care, and a separate night team manages overnight cases.

Location:

Nestled at the foot of the Quantock Hills, the area offers stunning countryside and west coast beaches while still providing easy access to major cities like Exeter and Bristol via the M5.
