Job Title: Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (Locum)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Job Description:
- An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join an established practice in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear.
- The role is a locum position, commencing on the 1st of May, 2025, and is expected to continue until the end of November, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality veterinary care to a variety of small animals.
- Perform consultations and surgeries.
- Occasionally take sole charge of the practice.
- Work predominantly at the Heaton branch, with occasional shifts at the Tynemouth Branch.
Working Hours:
- Tuesday to Friday, 08.30 to 18.30.
- Participate in a rota for Saturday shifts, approximately 2 out of every 4 weekends.
The Team: The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated team consisting of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 RVN Head Nurse, 2 full-time RVNs, 1 part-time RVN, 1 SVN, 3 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager.
Facilities and Services: The practice boasts an array of modern facilities including ultrasound, X-ray, a full Idexx in-house lab, nurse clinics, and separate cat and dog wards.
