We are currently working with a brilliant small animal practice based throughout Birmingham, who are looking to recruit a fully qualified RVN (or someone who is very close to becoming an RVN) on a full time, permanent basis. 

- Full time. (38 hours per week) 
- NO OOH. 
- Friendly team of 6 vets, 8 Nurses

The Practice:
For over 90 years, our client has been caring for pets in the Birmingham area, across three sites. Despite their long history, they have a modern practice, with the latest equipment’s and newly refurbished facilities to give your pet the excellent care they deserve. Their modern facilities include, in house blood analyser, state of the art digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, Blood pressure monitoring, eye pressure measurements, and microscopy.  Their aim is to provide a high standard of care at an affordable price. Their experienced team of 5 Vets and 6 Nurses and excellent support team give you the comfort of knowing that your pets are in the best hands, whether it is a routine visit or something more involved, they will always try to provide the best solution for both you and your pet.

The Role:
This is a full-time role working a 38 hour week. You will work one of two shifts, those being 08:00 - 16:00 or 11:00 - 20:00. There are no OOH with this role but there is a weekend rota, working 1 full weekend and 1 Saturday in 6 weekends. The full weekend consists of Saturday 08:00 - 19:00 and Sunday 08:30 - 12:30, then back in again from 17:00 - 18:00. 

There is lots of support available within the team for a newly qualified/final year RVN and also great scope for a more experienced nurse to expand their skills. CPD and individual interests are highly encouraged. An RVN with an interest in developing new nurse clinics would be advantageous.

There is a highly competitive salary on offer that is reflective of experience along with CPD allowance which totals to £500 per annum. Other benefits include holiday allowance and discounts in practice for your own pets. 

To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
