An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join a RCVS-accredited small animal training practice in the picturesque location of Truro, Cornwall. The Team:
- The practice is owned by a Veterinary Surgeon who holds an AVP certificate in surgery, with a special interest in orthopaedics and minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery.
- The successful candidate will be joining a team of outstanding nurses and client care advisors, managed by a Practice Manager, RVN, and Mental Health First Aider.
The Role:
- The practice is well-structured, with 15-minute consults as standard and 30 minutes allocated for more complex cases or for graduates.
- There is one vet operating each day, with their consults starting later in the afternoon.
- The practice also ensures there are plenty of 'run over breaks' to catch up, as well as emergency slots.
- Clinical meetings are held every 6 to 8 weeks.
Hours: The hours are flexible and can be discussed to achieve a good balance between home and work. The role includes a shared weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays, which is kept to routine appointments with no operations.
The Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have solid GP experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing the highest level of veterinary care.
