We are working with a small group of small animal veterinary practices in the Leeds area of West Yorkshire that is looking to recruit a full-time Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity is for a clinical director to join a growing practice that is well-established.

The Practice:

Our client has 4 clinics and 1 Tier 3 accredited veterinary hospital that has been providing a high standard of veterinary services to the Leeds area for over 40 years. They are continually updating their facilities and investing in equipment. They are also extremely proud of all their team and it is a credit to their commitment and compassion that they can provide this level of care to pets.

Three of the five branches have operating facilities, two of the branches can perform neutering and routine surgical procedures along with x-rays and laboratory tests. All of the clinics have fully stocked dispensaries.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time permanent role, the full details of shifts and working patterns will be discussed at the interview.

You will work alongside the Head of First Opinion to dynamically lead the first opinion clinical team and drive the business forward both clinically and commercially. This role will have many duties that will include:

  • Overseeing the management of clinical activities within the practice with a passion for delivering the best possible service, support, and outcomes for patients, customers, and colleagues.
  • To perform the duties of a practicing vet working to high clinical standards, leading by example and be an excellent communicator, ensuring the smooth working relationships between internal teams, management, and other group practices

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with any situation in a calm manner
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret & present numerous forms of data,
  • Excellent time management
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience of leading and developing successful teams
  • A confident attitude with a determination to succeed
  • Strong team ethos
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and deliver on objectives
