Practice Type: Part of a group - ambulatory practice that specialises in Farm and Equine veterinary work, servicing clients in the Central belt of Scotland.
Services:
- This is an ambulatory practice. Caseloads vary from routine vaccines and dentals to advanced lameness workups, Scoping, X-raying, sarcoid treatments, geldings, health planning, and pre-purchase examinations.
- They pride themselves on their ability to offer clients dedicated Vets to large animal medicine who all have a high level of expertise.
- State of the art diagnostic equipment including a mobile digital x-ray machine, endoscope, and ultrasound scanner.
About the Team and Culture:
- They are a 10 Vet practice that includes the Clinical Director, supported by a Practice Manager and 5 lovely Receptionists.
- They have several certificate holders in their individual fields and would welcome applicants who can bring this extra qualification or equally would support new employees to further develop their careers.

Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team
Duties:
- They require an experienced full-time RCVS registered equine vet to provide clients with an excellent level of service while carrying out routine/emergency care.
- Confident in all general aspects of first opinion work and the use of mobile equipment, i.e. x-ray, scanner, scopes.
Hours: 4 day week working 40hrs per week and 1:4 rota through Spring, 1:5 rest of the year.
Applicant Requirements:
- RCVS Registered.
- An experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon in routine and emergency work.
- Must be confident in all aspects of first opinion work and the use of mobile equipment, i.e. dental equipment, x-ray, scanner and scopes.
- Clinic experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- A good team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative with a flexible approach.
Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a depending on experience.
