Permanent Equine Veterinary Surgeon, Tiverton
We are working with an independent practice based in Tiverton, Devon that is owned and managed by a single director, that is looking for an experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. This role can either be three, four or five days a week with occasional weekend duties.
The Practice:
Our client is an independent group of 3 practices that are owned and managed by a single director with clear management and strategic direction. You will be working as part of a congenial, supportive team where they enjoy a good working atmosphere, their aim is to enjoy the work as well as make a living. The practices are located in a rural situation, but with easy access to the countryside, cities, beaches, and hills.
Their clients appreciate them and they know most of them well. They have a fair charging system and offer excellent value. They will never decline veterinary care for reasons of funding, and will always try their best to provide appropriate care for any animal that needs it.
The Role and Candidate:
Our client has a vacancy for an experienced equine vet in their specialist, ambulatory equine department. Their team of four experienced equine veterinary surgeons and one intern are extremely busy providing high level veterinary services to a variety of amiable and enthusiastic clients throughout Devon and East Cornwall. The expansion of the practice requires them to recruit one more experienced vet.
The vacancy is for an equine vet, but if a candidate would like some variety with work in the Farm or Small Animal departments, this can be accommodated.
This permanent role can be three, four, or five days per week - they can be flexible. The weekend rota is a maximum of 13 weekends duties per year,
Some equine experienced if essential - there is support but you will be expected to be able to fly solo.
The Package:
- Salary range £35,000 - £55,000 p/a depending on experience and working hours
