We are working with a specialist Farm Animal veterinary practice in New Forest Park area of Hampshire that is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon with 2 years plus experience, although would consider a confident vet with 1-year experience. This is a full-time permanent position, where you will undertaking farm visits and dealing with clients.
The Practice:
Our client provides a full range of ambulatory veterinary cover for cattle, sheep, goats and pigs in a beautiful part of the Hampshire county. They cover everything expected for the large animal requirements from Heard health planning through to foot trimming. They have an extensive client base stretching across New Forest, Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. They pride themselves of providing top quality client care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with their own emergency service.
The practice provides a friendly and professional service to large and small holders alike, with a number of specialist services included. They have their own in-house lab, embryo transfer, and new surgical facilities.
The Role:
This permanent role is full-time, working 40 hours a week with various weekday shifts between 08:30-17:30. There are no out of hours with this role and the weekend rota is 1 in 4 full weekends.
As well as the everyday veterinary duties you will also undertake farm visits and have close interactions with the clients of the practice. You will cover all duties within a large animal veterinary role and able to cover branch work.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate would have 2 years post-graduate experience, although a confident vet with 1-year experience would also be considered. You will have skills in LVI, Examing skills, TB Testing, Calving, and Prolapses.
Our client is looking for a vet with a good sense of humour, great enthusiasm for the role, works well as part of this team and is driven to be the best vet they can be. You will need great communication skills to bond with clients and the team alike.
