Permanent Head Registered Veterinary Nurse - Burton-on-Trent
We are working with a friendly small animal practice in the Burton-on-Trent area of Staffordshire that is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them as their Head Veterinary Nurse. This a full-time permanent role that will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice.
The Practice:
This is a friendly practice who bond over their practice tea breaks. The team consists of 2 Vets, 2 RVN's and 2 PCA's. The practice is close to Derby and less than 45 minutes away from Nottingham and Birmingham.

The Role and Candidate:
Our client is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team as Head Veterinary Nurse at this friendly practice. The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop the practice including nursing clinics and using your initiative to promote new ideas.
As a Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practices with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice as a clinical coach. All of our clients' Head Nurses are provided with dedicated support with other duties, such as recruitment and Health and Safety. While there are still administration duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!
This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week. This shift pattern includes a shared weekend rota.
You will be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse ideally with previous experience of managing a team.

- Salary up to £29,240 dependent on experience
- RCVS fees paid CPD allowance, plus 2 days CPD leave
