We are working with a well-established small animal practice in the Epsom area of Surrey that is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them as their Head Veterinary Nurse. The role is full-time and would suit an RVN that has small animal practice experience and ideally management experience.

The Practice:

Our clients' mission is to deliver progressive, around the clock care means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres. They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

Conveniently situated in Epsom, they are a caring local practice committed to providing the very highest standard of veterinary care to clients and their pets. With a full range of services and facilities available, clients couldn't be in more capable hands.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team as the Head Veterinary Nurse. As a Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practices with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.

Previous small animal experience is required. Ideally, you would have management experience but they are happy to support the right candidate with management training.

This a permanent full-time position, consisting of 40 hours a week over 5 days and the shift pattern includes 1:4 weekends.

The Package:

In return, for your hard work and dedication, our client is offering an excellent package that is reflective of experience and includes:

  • A competitive salary of up to £28,635 per annum (DOE)
  • Generous CPD allowance, CPD leave, and in-house CPD available
  • Ongoing training is provided as relevant to your role
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • 5 weeks paid annual leave
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards
  • A friendly, supportive environment within a rewarding role
  • And much more!
