We are currently working with a charming independent mixed veterinary practice based in a market town in the corner of south east Kent. Close to commutable routes leading to the Channel Tunnel and national motorway and rail links into London. This is a new opportunity to join a lovely team as a permanent Head Veterinary Nurse. 

The Practice:

This practice works to SA 85%, 10% large, 5% equine split and provides a full range of services. Their veterinary care is underpinned by the use of a full range of modern treatments and well equipped surgery. They have a laboratory, X-ray room and operating theatre which means they can undertake a variety of treatments on site. However, if the need arises, they are happy to refer the client’s pet, livestock or horse for further specialist treatment. The successful candidate will be working alongside 5 vets and oversee 2 RVNs, 1 SVN, & 1ACA. 

The Role:

This is a permanent position working full-time Monday - Friday 9.30- 18.00 on a 40 hour week rota basis. 1:4 Saturday mornings 8.30- 11.00, No OOHs. The duties will include a mix of general nursing, admin, stock control and mentoring plus ensuring the smooth running of the clinic.

It would suit a motivated, keen veterinary nurse who relates effectively with colleagues and clients. A level headed individual who is practical, keeps calm under pressure, and has good organisational and communication skills.
