We are working with a group of small animal veterinary practices that are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is looking Veterinary Surgeon to join their Croydon practice in a Senior/Head Veterinary Surgeon role, so they are looking for a candidate that can lead a team of three vets.
The Practice:
Our client has seven practices in total that offer a wide range of veterinary services including consultations, vaccinations, neutering, dentistry, minor ops, x-rays, ultrasound, and much more. They are proud to deliver a low-cost, high-quality service that keeps over 67,000 furry, feathered, and scaled pets happy each and every year. They truly value each and every one of their lovely clients and their precious pets.
Each of their practices is run by a very competent, very lovely Head of Practice. They are supported in two ways: by their wonderful team of vets, nurses, animal nursing assistants, and receptionists, and also by a small Head Office team comprising HR, marketing, and finance. They are located near train and bus stops with free parking nearby.
The Role and Candidate:
Our client is looking for a confident and passionate Senior Veterinary Surgeon that is capable of leading a team of three vets. You will be able to follow set protocols, be a strong leader, and happy to teach the newer vets. Ideally an OV and RPA but not critical as they can offer this training. Should be confident in all non-ortho surgeries including C Sections, pyos, mammary strips, Ex laps, lump removals, etc.
This is a permanent full-time role where you will be working 40hours per week with one in three Saturday mornings. The practice has a fantastic support team and a great reputation within the community that they’re looking to continue. They are friendly and supportive and as part of a larger group, they also have access to excellent CPD.
They do not currently have anyone on-site to do ortho work so an ortho certificate holder would be a bonus!
The Package:
In return, our client is offering a very competitive package that includes:
- Salary £42,000 - £44,500 p/a dependent on experience
- 34 days holiday (increases for length of service)
- £1500 CPD allowance plus additional 5 days off to attend CPD
- 40% staff discount
