We are currently recruiting on behalf of a group of independent Veterinary practices based in Bradford, West Yorkshire who are seeking a permanent full-time Hospital Manager/Head Registered Veterinary Nurse.
The Practice:
The practice was set up in 1983 and has three branches in West Yorkshire. They strive to provide a high-quality personal service for their clients, and each of their patients is important to them. All the Vets are very well qualified general practitioners, who have a great deal of experience across the small animal spectrum. They are a Tier 3 Hospital and Veterinary Nurse training practice, who provide a high standard of care to pets 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The practice consists of 8 Vets, 14 Nurses, and an excellent support team. The team sees a real mix of animals including lots of exotics and small furries. They have a separate dog, cat, exotic and isolation wards, to ensure maximum patient comfort
The Role:
The position is a full-time role for a Head nurse/Hospital manager, you will ensure a high standard of care and service at all times through skillful, passionate leadership and management. There are no out of hours for this position, however, weekends may be required if there are emergencies or on an odd occasion to make sure there is smooth running of weekend surgery/consults.
Duties required but not limited to;
• Make direct contribution to the achievement of high-level client satisfaction and maximise development opportunities for the practice
• Manage the hospital surgical equipment and maintenance and ensure the clinical team are well trained, motivated and committed.
• Work closely with the practice manager to set clinical nursing standards and ensure they are implemented
• Ensure the practice meets RCVS standards and the health and safety policy is implemented and carry our COSHH and risk assessments.
• Maintain college applications for trainee nurses and VCA’s

The role would suit an experienced registered nurse or a head nurse looking for the next step in their career, who has excellent communication and organisational skills.
