We are working with a small animal practice in Hillingdon, London that is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon that has at least 5 years' veterinary experience with small animals and is a confident all-rounder - ideally with a surgical bias. This is a permanent full-time role where you will be joining a very busy first opinion practice.

The Practice:

This is a very busy, small animal first opinion practice that offers a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options, as well as access to laparoscopic spays, MRI, and CT imaging. They need a dynamic and driven individual to take this practice to new heights!

They are fortunate to have a very loyal client base and their 2-3 vet team are therefore kept busy with an exciting range of surgeries and consults as well as providing home visits to pets in need.

The practice is situated on the outskirts of London, close to Heathrow, with easy access to the A40; you can be in the countryside, or in central London in under an hour.

Our client is a community of passionate veterinary professionals committed to providing truly exceptional care. They are set on building something extraordinary: creating the most forward-thinking and innovative place in the veterinary industry. Their mission to deliver progressive, around the clock care means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The Role and Candidate:

This role provides a great work-life balance, as this is a full-time permanent role, covering 39 hours a week over 4 days. The shift pattern includes 1:3 Saturdays or 1:6 full weekends.

Our clients' practice is ready for a new Lead Veterinary Surgeon to drive this practice to even greater heights.

You will have at least 5+ years' experience and be a confident all-rounder - ideally with a surgical bias.

You should possess leadership qualities, excellent communication, and a passion for patient and client care. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part in the team.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a very competitive package of up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance. Benefits include:

  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in-house CPD training VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

  • Fantastic career progression and partnership opportunities
  • A colleague of the month awards, Hills staff feeding schemes, plus many more benefits available!
