We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our client's friendly small animal practice in the beautiful seaside city of Brighton on a full-time permanent basis. This is a chance for someone with vision, drive, and energy to continue to provide the great service that clients have become accustomed to, whilst putting their own stamp on the clinic.

The Practice:

Brighton is a lively, quirky, and unique seaside city that is crowned the most dog-friendly city in the UK and is a great place to live and work. The practice has been serving the local community for many years and is situated in a fantastic and vibey part of Brighton.

With the support of the lovely and very competent nursing and support team, you’ll be able to focus on bonding the clients and working your cases up to a high standard. The practice is very well-equipped, but you'll also have the resources and expertise of our 24-hour hospital just over half an hour away, where CT, laparoscopy, and specialist exotic care are to hand.

Their mission to deliver progressive, around the clock care means their employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres. They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through a dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from the advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The Role and Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' post-graduate experience, with very strong communication skills and the desire to practice gold standard veterinary medicine. Our client has a strong desire to find a vet who wishes to put down some roots in Brighton and a partnership will be discussed with the right individual.

The role allows for a good work-life balance by working 39 hours a week over 4 days. You will also be part of a weekend rota.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a very competitive package of up to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes:

  • Accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave per annum or pro-rata and in-house CPD training
  • 5 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • Fantastic career progression
  • Partnership opportunities
  • And much more!
